I found a really neat universal design for learning wheel.  It is a virtual on-line wheel that can help educators in designing flexible lessons and reducing barriers to learning.

OKC:  July 25 (9-4 pm)-26 (9-Noon)	Location to be determined
Tulsa:  August 5 (9-4 pm)-6 (9-Noon)	Location to be determined
Lawton:  August 7 (9-4 pm)-8 (9-Noon)	Location to be determined

This free training will primarily be for DRS staff; however, the first day in each location we are inviting our school partners to join us and help brainstorm ways to improve services and partnerships.

Day 1 in each location (teachers and DRS) will cover such topics as School Work Study contracts and implementation, Work Adjustment Training contract options, working with families, and Benefits Planning for Youth with Disabilities.

Day 2 in each location (DRS staff only) will cover Vocational Evaluations, Case Management for Transition, and other discussion items.

All school staff attending Day 1 at each location will be eligible to win a copy of the Brigance Transition Skills Activities Kit (a transition curriculum worth $350).

We encourage our school partners to attend so we can work together to improve how we team to serve our youth.
